Life after Cancer
We’re a team shaped by lived experience and guided by the voices of the people we support.
Life after Cancer was created because too many people are left to navigate life after treatment on their own. Our work is grounded in listening, shared understanding and creating practical support for life after cancer.
Our Story
Life after Cancer was founded by Steph Davies following her own experience of cancer. From the beginning, our work has been shaped by people who understand life after cancer first hand.
When treatment ends, many people are left navigating fear, uncertainty and a sense of being misunderstood. Life after Cancer was created so no one has to face this part alone.
Our groups and programmes are led by facilitators who have experienced cancer themselves, so people don’t have to explain or justify how they feel. Everything we offer is shaped by what our community tells us they need as they adjust to life after treatment.

Meet The Team

Steph Davies
Founder & Coach
Steph is an ICF trained coach, NLP Practitioner and Mental Health First Aider. She facilitates our support groups and coaching programmes.
After completing chemotherapy for Hodgkins Lymphoma, Steph realised that the world was a very different colour post cancer. Cancer shaped her life so she created this space to support others in shaping theirs.

Juliet Thomas
Coach
Juliet is a trained coach, delivering our coaching programmes and facilitating peer support groups.
Juliet runs a business, is a practising artist and enjoys helping people unlock their creative potential through coaching. Her creative work helped her get through treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Kirsty Oldroyd
Coach & Community Coordinator
Kirsty experienced cancer first-hand in 2019 and found life after treatment challenging until she received support through the Life after Cancer programme. Inspired by the impact, she set out to support the organisation through volunteering and has since trained as a coach.
Kirsty delivers our coaching programmes and facilitates peer support groups, manages the community, and supports events and operations behind the scenes. She is passionate about this work and about supporting people through the challenges they face after treatment.

Bee Parks-O’Garro
Coach
Bee is a trained coach and an Antenatal Screening Coordinator. She facilitates our peer support group and coaching programme.
Bee's relationship with cancer started just after her 40th birthday. During her recovery, life coaching helped her to work through issues and understand how she could use her own journey to help others. Bee enjoys holding a supportive space for those that have had cancer, allowing them to move forward, build new friendships and 'to just be you'.

Sherine El-Nahas
Coach
Sherine is a trained coach, delivering our coaching programmes and facilitating peer support groups.
Sherine works as a news producer, loves books and poetry and is a very keen photographer. Sherine also enjoys hiking and has recently taken up running (slowly). She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017.

Lissy Edwards
Community and Outreach Team
Lissy is a trained speech and language therapist having worked in the NHS for many years.
She was diagnosed with a rare gynaecological cancer in 2023. After her recovery she was determined to make positive changes in her life. Life after Cancer helped her do that and now she works part time connecting with health care professionals to spread the word so others can access Life after Cancer’s support. Lissy is also a trained ILM level 5 coach.
