_____

This is a 6 session coaching programme for anyone who has been affected by cancer. After our own experience with cancer, we quickly realised that the world was a very different colour post cancer. Cancer shaped our lives so we created this programme to support others in shaping theirs.

The programme will be delivered through 6 workshops, over 6 weeks, limited to 12 people. The workshops will help you to fulfil your potential after cancer by dealing early on with some of the issues that may have arisen by your diagnosis. We will encourage you to trust your whole self and to support you to live in a way that is in line with who you are after cancer.

_____

Subject areas include: Life after cancer (values, beliefs, priorities); what we need to feel 100%, creating a life vision after cancer; the stories we tell ourselves and how we can re-write these, managing emotions, increasing confidence and decreasing fear.

_____

Workshop 1: Identity & Values: After a life changing event, beliefs change, values change and priorities change. Are you changing with the changes? We introduce you to you, during this workshop, you will take some time for an identity check in. You will clarify who you are, what's important to you and what you want in life after your cancer diagnosis. During this workshop, you will also create your own personal self-care plan. You’ll leave with clarity around what you need in order to feel 100%, a self-care plan and some actions that will support you to feel your best and help you to be kinder and more gentle with yourself.

Workshop 2: Present State & Visioning: After a cancer diagnosis, many individuals feel that their pre-diagnosis goals and visions no longer align with who they are after treatment ends. We take a look at where you are now and where you'd like to be before making plans for the future, keeping in mind that it may include a little more uncertainty than we would like it to. You will leave with an overview of how satisfied you are with your life, clarity around areas of your life that you'd like to change and a vision of what you'd like your life post cancer treatment to look and feel like.

Workshop 3: Actions & Accountability: We use our vision from workshop 2 to create a workable plan of action. We chunk down our plan into actions that we can complete on a daily basis that will take us closer to our vision and the person we'd like to be post cancer treatment. You have a 65% chance of completing a goal if you commit to someone. If you have a specific accountability appointment with a person you've committed to, you will increase your chance of success by up to 95%. You will leave the workshop with an accountability buddy who will hold you accountable for your actions.

Workshop 4: Stories & Reframing: Many of us believe a story about ourselves that’s not true. Some of us feel defined by our cancer experience and this can often hold us back. During this workshop, we explore the stories we tell ourselves. We ask if they're serving us or not, and if we're open to changing the story. A different story can breed hope and give a sense of possibility. The same stories, beliefs and behaviours are bound to lead to the same results. We explore what this means to us and take time to consider what our new story might be by rewriting our story in a playful way.

Workshop 5: Awareness & Communication: During this workshop, we develop our emotional health. We take the time to reconnect with our body and we discuss what we notice by doing this. Many people feel emotions in certain parts of their body, stress in their neck, anxiety in their chest or maybe happiness in their stomach. We map where we feel certain emotions in the body and what this means to us. You will leave this workshop feeling more self-aware, and clear on how to communicate and build rapport with both yourself and others.

Workshop 6: Thoughts, Language & Gremlins: We can often get caught up in our own thoughts, listening to our inner critics that sabotage our progress. We take a look at what our internal dialogue is saying to us, the language we're using - words affect the way we feel about ourselves, are we being kind to our mind? You will leave the workshop feeling more in control of your inner critics with a greater awareness that will support you to practice being a little bit kinder to yourself.
