Sign up to join Life after Cancer for an epic walking challenge to help raise money, awareness and ultimately, support adults who have finished cancer treatment.
On April 20th 2024 we are heading to the Peak District for a challenging 14 mile hike across the Edale Skyline route and we'd love you to join us!
This event is open to all who are interested in joining us to take on the challenge and raise money for adults who've completed cancer treatment. Feel free to invite your friends, family and colleagues—the more the merrier!
Whether you're motivated to support, take on a challenge after cancer or seeking camaraderie, this is your chance to make an impact while forging new connections.

Location: Edale Skyline ,14 Mile Walking Route, Peak District - tracing a high-level steep route around the valley of Edale walk.

Duration: 8 - 10 hours

Distance: 14 miles / Elev Gain: 3352ft

Meet up point: Mam Nick car park, Rushup Edge Castleton S33 8WA

Led by mountain leader and guide Orange John and his team. John is a member of the mountain training association, outdoor first aid certified and is fully insured.

Is this event for me? This trek is open to everyone over the age of 18. You don't need to have had cancer to join us.
Walking level and advisory notice:

This is a tough, long distance challenging walk across a strenuous 14 mile route.

You will need to have a good level of fitness and stamina approached with advanced preparation and planning (training plan provided by Life after Cancer).

Please be aware that the route includes a number of very steep sections, rough, rocky and boggy moorland as well as some exposed moorland ridges and summits.

Please check before joining this activity with your medical team if this activity will be safe for you to participate in.
Cost:
Non refundable deposit of £20 due January 09, 2024 to secure your place on the hike. The full price of the event costs £55 per head full payment due March 01, 2024.

Fundraising: We have not set a minimum fundraising target for this event, however we recommend that each member aims to raise a minimum of £300-£500. Exceeding this is not essential, but most welcomed.
